What is Chiropractic
Background
Chiropractic is based on the scientific fact that the central nervous system controls all processes within the body and affects the functioning of virtually all tissues, cells and organs. In most cases, treatment focuses on improving the position of the spine, neck and other joints. The goal is to restore normal function, improve movement, reduce pain or discomfort and eliminate any nerve irritation.
Advantages
Chiropractic not only removes pain, but also empowers the body to repair itself and promote optimal health through exercise and a healthy lifestyle. Thus, it is not only about treatment, but also about preventing symptoms and maintaining a healthy body.
History
The word chiropractic comes from the Ancient Greek words cheír (χείρ): "hand" and praxis (πραξις): "action. Chiropractic works by recognizing the underlying cause of pain or health problems and tries to restore it naturally. No surgery is involved and no drugs are used.

Chiropractors are highly trained health experts. They have generally studied an average of 5 years at a university with subjects such as anatomy, neurology, physiology, pathology, biochemistry, behavioral science, diagnosis and manipulative movements, among others.
